Holidaze
Every once in a while we go on what is called holiday. We go to lovely places. Sometimes on a boat on the canal, sometimes by the seaside, sometimes in a tent in the countryside. Mummy and daddy are with me all day and we go for lovely long walks. We go to pubs and snuggle up by the fire. I get to sleep in the bedroom with mummy and daddy instead of down in the kitchen. I don't know why we can't stay on holiday all the time.

Crafty roadside snacks
Daddy says I have been a bit of a "silly billy" today as I found a lovely snack in the hedge across the road. It was a lovely sandwich, but it was probably thrown out of the window of a car (horrid noisy things with big light eyes on the front) and was still in a plastic wrapper. I had to scoff it quickly or daddy would have taken it away. Anyway I had a lovely walk and a big splish splosh in the Grantham Canal which is half full of rain water. I also found some oversize "sticks" which daddy said were like tree trunks and too big for him to throw for me.

The world of scent
I've been a bit to busy to blog over the last few days. Too much weeing and sniffing to be done. I found an old tennis ball in the canal bed today. Daddy said it was really stinky which must mean that it smells nice. Things that I think smell great, like fox poo, mummy and daddy say are stinky and horrible. If I dive my neck into fox poo I can wedge some under my collar and it is lovely. Mummy ruins it by washing my collar and cleaning my neck with moistened tissues which smell ghastly, like flowers. Most poo is fascinating and can tell you a lot.

Snow and mud
I have just been out with my daddy for a romp in the countryside. Water was falling from the sky and the ground was very squidgy. My mummy and daddy have rubbish coats. They are all pink and it looks like all of their fur has fallen off, apart from some on their heads. They have to wrap up in blankets and when it is raining they have to put crackly things over them. Daddy sometimes takes my red ball thrower out. The balls fly a long way away and I run very fast and try and catch them while they are still in the air after they bounce. Mummy says that I find more balls than I lose and I have a big bag of them. My favourite ones are squeaky and spikey like a rolled up hedgehog or a sea urchin, but are soft and chewy.

Winter
It's dark when I go out in the mornings and evenings at the moment, but mummy and daddy are really clever and can turn the sunshine on in the house. There is a puppy sun in the sky of every room. Mummy is pack leader and I think that daddy is about the same level as me. This means that I can ignore him when he calls me if I have something more interesting to do. Last week the fields went all white and crunchy and it was great to roll in. The water in the canal that I usually splosh about in chasing plastic bottles and sticks, went hard and slippery. It's nice to snuggle up on my bed under the kitchen table when I get home. Daddy says that I'm all wet and horrible.

Welcome from Cadster
My name is Cadbury and I am a chocolate Labrador. I am 7 years old and have been living with mummy and daddy at a house in the country since 2006. It is near Nottingham in England. I have had some of my favourite drink, milkies, and now mummy says I have a milky moustache.
